Meet Your Teacher

Tanya is a 500 hr Registered Yoga Teacher who specializes in teaching power flow, deep flow, and yin classes. She is a new mom who has also completed her prenatal yoga training. Her classes are focused on curating an experience by flowing through creative sequences, creating playlists that match the ebbs and flows of the practice, and most importantly, holding space by being present with her students. She has completed her Sound Bowl Therapy Training the Himalayas in India and brings these practices into her teachings whenever possible. Her experience of yoga in both the Eastern and Western worlds has shifted her mindset to find a way to integrate both parts into this practice. Her life work is focused on women and moms to help them find their fullest expression while navigating everyday life. Her favorite part about teaching is the feeling of community and connection she creates in each class.

A Message from Tanya
Yoga found me unexpectedly - not a career goal but as a personal practice. Around 5 years ago, I had decided to take yoga teacher training for self development. Everything changed the moment I taught for the first time in front of the class. It was that feeling of being exactly where I belonged. After many hours of training and the opportunity to travel abroad to India to complete my Sound Healing Therapy training, I still come to teach each class from one place: just being me. Teaching is where I feel most like myself. My classes can vary in difficulty but the foundation is to come home to self. We have all the answers we are looking for within. Through breath, movement, and stillness, we create space to listen to our bodies. If we can arrive fully in our Savasana, that moment of presence may be the only clarity we need. All the work of the practice leads to this moment: whether we are holding a challenging pose or resting in stillness, we are given the chance to be with ourselves. This practice is an invitation to explore and express your fullest expression - lovingly, honestly, and unapologetically.
